The Management Board of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. ("Company") informs that as a result of the review of technical and economic parameters of key foreign mining assets of the KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. the occurrence of premises indicating the possibility of changing the recoverable amount of a part of these assets was found. Consequently, in accordance with IAS 36, this obliges the Company to perform as of the last day of the last reporting period, ie 31 December 2018, impairment tests in order to estimate the recoverable amount in relation to assets from the joint venture Sierra Gorda SCM, assets of the Sudbury Basin (including the Morrison mine, the McCreedy mine and the Victoria project) and the Franke mine.
For other key foreign mining assets, there were no premises to conduct tests.
The Company will inform about the test results in a separate current report.
